Society of Tissue Viability

Established in 1980, The Society of Tissue Viability (previously known as the TVS) is the leading UK wound care charity.  The Society is truly multidisciplinary and attracts members from all healthcare professions involved with tissue viability. Their aim is “to use the power of collaborative thinking and action to solve skin and wound challenges”.

We were engaged to manage the Society’s annual conference in 2012 and since then we have gradually grown the meeting, as well as providing a full secretariat function. We also manage their communications, facilitate an online education programme, produce all marketing materials and more. Here’s a snippet of the work we have carried out…

  • Annual Conference – Now in our 10th year of delivering this event, the Society Annual conference is seen as one of the UK’s leading conferences in the wound care calendar. With audiences growing to over 400 delegates and an exhibition with over 50 industry partners, the conference is well known for the quality of the programme and speakers, frequently presenting the latest research and ideas.
  • Social Media – audiences across Facebook and Twitter have grown from Zero to 4,662  and 5,878 respectively. This is organic growth with the platforms continuing to grow in both followers and engagement and they now also have a good presence on LinkedIn as well as Instagram.
  • Programme of online events – In 2021, the Society changed and enhanced their programme of study day events by offering regular virtual education where you can share your experience and deepen your knowledge. These include Fundamental sessions, Advanced and Service specific / specialist events. All sessions are free to attend and, in addition include an industry showcase where delegates can discover the latest product innovations.
We rebranded the whole programme, reviewed and upgraded all of the communications and implemented a targeted marketing plan. The events are now oversubscribed for both attendees and exhibitors with a wider and more advanced range of topics
  • Education Endorsement – The Society engaged us to help them introduce an Education Endorsement programme – organisations can apply to have their online education or face to face courses endorsed by the Society. We coordinated the process from start to finish and were heavily involved in the development and implementation. As the Society are the only UK charitable organisation to offer endorsement specifically for wound management and tissue viability, we are particularly proud of our involvement and the programme has been extremely well received.
  • Supporting and assisting development of new initiatives, for example the Legs Matter Campaign and the Wounds Research Network (WReN)

What we love about working with the Society of Tissue Viability, is their passion, commitment and expertise for helping both healthcare professionals and patients. We are delighted to have played a part in transforming the Society into the leading UK charity in the field of tissue viability.
